Studying in Canada

Canada is one of the most popular destinations for international students all over the globe. With top-ranking universities and high quality of living, you are assured to have a worthwhile and memorable experience while working towards your education and career goals.

Why Study in Canada?

Canada is regarded as one of the most highly educated countries in the world. And that’s no surprise because Canada is home to some of the most highly ranked universities in the world. With progressive education and relevant programs that address global economic needs, you are guaranteed to be able to put your degree to good use once you graduate.

Here are some more reasons that make Canada a good destination for international students:
Immigrant-Friendly

Canada is welcoming to immigrants, as a huge percentage of the population is derived from immigration.

English Language

English is predominantly spoken throughout the country, making communication with locals easy.

Career Opportunities

Well-paying career opportunities open up for both local and international students after graduation.

Low Crime Rates

Canada is one of the countries with the lowest crime rates, making it a safe choice for international students.

Permanent Residency

International students who graduate from Canadian institutions are allowed to apply for a 2-3 year work permit after graduation. This allows many international students to qualify for Permanent Residency once they have 1-2 years of skilled work experience under their belts.

How Much Does It Cost To Study in Canada?

Amongst other English-speaking countries, Canada is one of the more affordable options to study abroad.

Canada offers great value for money in terms of school fees and cost of living, depending on which province you go to. Additionally, international students are allowed to work while studying and even after graduation.

Can I Work While Studying In Canada?

Yes, international students are allowed to work while studying. Enrolled foreign students can work 20 hours a week during classes, and 40 hours a week during school breaks.

Can I Bring My Family If I Study In Canada?

International students can bring their families to Canada with them on a Dependent Visa. If approved, the spouse will be granted an open working permit (OWP) which will allow them to work in Canada full-time.

Can I Qualify for Permanent Residency after my Studies?

Many International Students, especially Filipinos, choose to stay in Canada after their studies. This is because most international students get absorbed into the workforce right after graduation.

Canada offers a Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) to international students, allowing them to stay in Canada for a further 2-3 years. During this time, if an international student works in a NOC 0, A, or B occupation, and has gained at least 1 year of skilled work experience, they will most likely qualify for Permanent Residency.
